Pathways Center Community Work Day June 9-10
This month, the Pathways Navigation center in West Berkeley is finally opening! But there are still a couple of final touches that need to be done. That's why we are holding a Volunteer Work Day this weekend, June 9 and June 10. Specifically, we need volunteers to help with the following:
Painting feature walls on the portables
Filling planters with gravel and dirt
Planting plants
Assisting with irrigation
Assisting the carpenters with arbor construction
Installing mesh for vines
Possibly running errands
Plus much more
If you have construction experience and a couple of hours to spare, please stop by at Second and Cedar streets.
We will begin at 9am and work until around 4pm. Depending on how many people come out and how much is completed on Saturday will determine the Sunday schedule.
Please be prepared for a warm and sunny day so sturdy shoes, gloves, hats and sunscreen will be important. Tools will be available and lunch, snacks and refreshments will be provided. To volunteer, please email Jac McCormick at JMcCormick@cityofberkeley.info
