Statement on Expanded COVID-19 Testing Site

Today, Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin released the following statement regarding the City of Berkeley's announcement of providing free COVID-19 testing to all Berkeley residents and workers who are symptomatic:

"Expanding our ability to conduct tests is essential to protecting the health and safety of our residents while providing critical information. By being able to test any Berkeley resident or worker who is symptomatic, we can get a clearer picture on the prevalence of the virus in our community and gain more accurate data that can be used to guide recovery efforts. I am thankful for the continued exceptional response of our Public Health Department, Emergency Operations Center, and all those involved in efforts to address the COVID-19 crisis."
