BERKELEY - Today, Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguín is proud to announce that 50% of the city’s residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Nationwide, 32% of Americans are fully vaccinated and, and 32% of Californians are fully vaccinated.

“The success of Berkeley's COVID-19 vaccine rollout is a testament to the tireless efforts of our frontline workers and the resiliency of this community," said Mayor Jesse Arreguín. "As the pace of vaccinations slows across the country, it is critical that our city remains vigilant. I urge everyone to get vaccinated to protect yourself and the surrounding community. This is how we get back to business in Berkeley.”

In addition to the vaccine milestone, Berkeley’s 7-day positivity rate is just 0.22% with two average daily cases over the same period. You can view Berkeley’s COVID-19 dashboard here.
